Nizza Monferrato

Nizza derives it’s name from Nice in France (Italians use the name Nizza for Nice) as it was under the same Duchy. The city has seen a lot orf wars and sieges. It wasn’t until the 18th century that it started to grow its wealth again. It was big in silk production. The centre is stunning with its 14th century bell tower on the town hall and other historic buildings and squares. The city is famous for it’s great wines. Barbera of Nizza is an outstanding wine. Around the town are beautiful towns nestled in the hills. These are very popular with foreign house buyers. It has fantastic scenery all around so is very popular with house buyers from all over the world.
