I was in conversation with a couple of agents this week, it seems we always have the same sentiment - Summer is the most difficult time in this work. We get a lot of people just passing through, and in our work, just showing someone a house is never just a block away - one or two kilometres, it's often 100 km+ round trips (60 miles). This, and a few other reasons, led me to the decision to close until September the 1st 2022.
All the hard work that's been done so far this year is now coming together in closings, the deeds need to be signed. New homeowners need things arranged. I'm also working for American clients on a large project that's all about the detail. These things need my close attention. It's a logical thing to not take on new clients until Autumn, I already have more than enough to keep me busy.
I'm here working! I'm not sitting on a beach drinking beer. I also have to do a lot of work on my poor, neglected house, and my old Mercedes needs some love too. I'm also toying with the idea of buying something red and Italian (not a Ferrari!).
Langhe Property will be new and refreshed when we get back - I have lots of ideas to take us into 2023, and these all need a lot of work.
If you're serious about something, then let me know. This house, for example, needs to be sold - Ref.32. We had a contract but the buyer pulled out due to family issues, leaving the owner in a difficult situation. Let me know if you're serious - it's a great house.
I won't be doing online nor in-person consultancy and very few house viewings. Please don't be surprised if I don't answer your messages or emails.
I want to thank all the excellent clients we've had so far this year that have been a joy to work for - Rick & Ellen, Martina, Kevin & Diedre, Stuart & Mary, Julia, Jenny & Amy, Sunny & Steve, Elena and Alex. We've appreciated your kindness, trust and friendship.
So, enjoy your Summer! I'm going to be busy but I look forward to seeing you very soon!
