The main airport is Torino (Turin) Caselle International airport. It's a no-fuss airport with flights to all the major destinations. Ryanair and Easyjet have regular routes.
Getting to Torino Caselle is easy though watch out for Turin traffic around the ring road (Tangenziale) at rush-hour times, it can get a bit busy.
The other is Levaldigi, or Cuneo International airport. Ryanair call it the Alps airport. It's very convenient for the Piedmont ski resorts and the Langhe but there aren't too many scheduled flights at the moment. It's located 20km north of the city of Cuneo and 46km west of Barolo.
Within 60-90 minutes are the Milan airports of Malpensa and Linate. Just east of Milan in Bergamo Orio al Serio, a great airport for the budget airlines. Ryanair fly just about everywhere from here.
Head south towards the sea and you'll find the Genova (Genoa) airport - Cristoforo Colombo. It's about 90 minutes drive from central Langhe.
