Langhe-Roero and Monferrato now a UNESCO World Heritage site!
Application was made 10 years ago to the UNESCO committee for acceptance and now it has been agreed. This beautiful area now joins with the Italian cities of Verona, Siena, Venice and Ferrara and famous Italian sites and areas such as Pompeii, Mount Etna, the Dolomites and the Trulli of Alberobello. Nice!
What does this mean for the area? Well, it's just the start of much greater things - world recognition, increase in tourism and for sure a rise in property prices (try buying a cheap home in the Dolomites, Siena or Venice..).
If you're thinking about buying here - don't wait! We've been saying for over a year that it's the right time to buy - prices are sure to rise.
